MATH AND SCIENCE AT YOUR FINGERTIPS

Attention parents and students!  Practice math and science skills anytime you want!  Visit  softschools throughout the school year to enhance your understanding of certain concepts. Parents, click on the appropriate grade and then click on the subject from the list provided.  A series of themes will be displayed for that particular subject.  Choose the appropriate theme for your child and watch them learn!  Science and Math for kids is another great link that aids students with grasping mathematical and scientific concepts.  Students, this is a great opportunity to show your parents how much you know!

Welcome Grade 2s!  I am very excited for this school calendar year as I know we will work great together as a team!  I hope all of you are ready to have fun and learn.  Mr. Gabriele has planned many activities and trips which will be both motivating and memorable for you all.  We will be visiting a number of exhibits at the Royal Ontario Museum, as well as exploring the world of science at the Ontario Science Centre.  I would like to remind you all that if you need extra help, Mr. Gabriele will be here to guide you along the way!  Don’t be afraid to make mistakes in class because that’s how we all learn!

Parents, please feel free to contact me any time you wish.  A great communication tool is the agenda, but you can also call me at school.  Often ask yourself, “How can I help my child this year?”  You can visit my blog to find great resource links to provide extra help for your child at home.  I will update my blog on a monthly basis to inform you of what will be covered in class.  You will be able to know what tests, projects, and assignments your child will encounter for the month.  I look forward to working with both you and your child this year!

Wishing everyone much success this year!
Mr. Gabriele
